"Children are not things to be molded, but little people to be unfolded"
Jess Lair
You are probably familiar with the old saying "It takes a whole village to raise a child." I have always felt that we need to regard all children as our own if we want to have a world filled with love and understanding.
Because everything begins with the children and in a constantly changing and unpredictable world, for a child to have dependable and unwavering parents is more crucial than ever. But it is so easy to get lost in material needs and in the everyday chaos and stress of just trying to get through the day. So easy to start believing that somebody else knows what is best for your child. With this blog, I will try my best to give those of you who are parents today inspiration and confidence. I want to help you trust yourselves as the most important role models, whoever and wherever you are. We all need help sometimes, and we should never be afraid to ask for advice, but always remember that when it comes to your child, you will always be the ultimate expert.
Sometimes we just need to reconnect with our little ones in a more conscious way, whether the little ones are two or thirteen years old. This can be done through easy creative exercises, simple yoga sessions or - highly recommended - through an increased level of active listening. The simplest things can make a world of difference for your child, and over time I shall try to cover as many of them as I can, in this blog.
